Thread: Border Tower 21

    Default Border Tower 21

I was going through some old stuff earlier this week and found my border tower sketch. I thought it was a shame I never gave it any colour. So I did! And I'm glad it's finished. I could have done more with the colouring - I also considered dropping the linework altogether and rendering it properly but I think then it would start to lose clarity as a map/floorplan. Which is why I like heavy linework in the first place.

I didn't think there was much point putting a key on it. Most of it is pretty self explanatory.

Gorgeous work. The tower, especially, looks fantastic!

This is splendid, Larb ! I'm always charmed by the mix of old design/modern layout, and this one is amazingly realised and with perfect details & colors.
Sounds inhabited and 'alive', if it makes sense
I just would have organised the "rooms" differently, I think : put the level 0 at the bottom, and the wooden room at the top-right would have been more logical, maybe ?

I hadn't really thought about it. I sort of just organised the floors like a book, lowest floor at the top and then going through like you were turning pages. It is something for me to think about about and look up.

    Thanks everyone.
