Map June / July '18 Lite Challenge: Gaspésie je t'aime!

My first challenge entry! I am so happy to make it about my last year's summer vacation in Gaspésie, in Québec. I wanted to make it different from what I do normally, so I made it vectorized! I drew the whole Percé rock, but I used free resources (which I will post references below). I added all the things that made my trip wonderful, the road trip, the visit of the wind turbines fields, the enormous seagulls (they were enormous) and the beautiful weather we had all along the trip. I had a lot of fun trying to draw rocks in Illustrator, it was very new for me!
Since it is my first entry, I hope I did everything ok, of not, let me know please!

It's cool but it's not really a map yet in my opinion.

Thank you Azélor, as I said it is very different from what I do normally, but I wanted it to be original, and I think a map is a map as long as it shows a landscape of any kind

techniquement c'est une carte...postale moi j'aime bien, surtout la mouette en bas!
Technically it's a post card. In french, a map is "une carte" there is no difference between map and card, both are "carte"

Peu importe.
I would suggest to find a way to increase the contrast of the text. Maybe a darker yellow, or thicker letter. White also look good.

It's super late in France and I didn't posted those last days because I'm really busy, but I'm just forced to thank you for the amazing seagull at the bottom of your "carte" : so simple and so perfect, I smile everytime I see it ! 'would be an amazing avatar
I agree about the font : white can be great, or the same yellow you used for the seaguls beaks, maybe ? It's always good to reuse the same colors in my opinion ^^

I swear that "mouette" comes from the Finding Nemo movie. MINE!

Thank you MistyBeee! Unfortunately I have no merit for the seagulls, here is the link on the vectors I used : https://www.freepik.com/free-vector/...ls_1540157.htm, but I thought it would be great in the composition! I tried using the same color as the beaks for the text, but it didn't come out well. I'l try some other things about it!
