    Default Advice before recreating map

hi, those is the right place to post and not too vague. I created a map for my WIP but used hexes as it was originally for an rpg. That's changed and it is now going to be a setting for fiction. Going to grab Inkarnate Pro and remake without hexes and I would like to tighten it up and make sure it is consistent with reality. Been reading and researching but other eyes would be appreciated. Would like to keep it the way it is to a large extent but want to ascertain the rivers and mountain ranges run properly. Any glaring flaws? one specific question, does the northern mountain range, the dragonteeth need to go? is the general look consistent with a swampy landscape and
river based societies? Any input before i dive into the remake would be very helpful and ty.. Click image for larger version.

I'd keep in mind that water tends to run into itself, so 3 different river exits to the sea can tend to be unrealistic. Do all the tributaries that feed into the main river font from the Serpent's Ridge?

thanks for the input, i was concerned about having too many splits in the rivers but didn't realize i was separating them TOO MUCH. Will alter that for re-do map i am working on. Appreciate it.

Happy to help! Looking forward to seeing it in its un-hexagon form.

That is really cool! Would like to use that as the basis for new map if that's ok, really awesome.

mostly the gimp plugin "resynthesizer" to remove the text and hex lines
then used it to run the "resynthesizer script " sharpen by synthesis ( set to 1.3 ) a few times

then used MMPS to map from Mercator to simple cylindrical

in gimp remapped to polar and in-painted the poles using resynthesizer

lastly remapped to simple cylindrical in gimp

i had time while i was cleaning off room fans so i do not need to run the AC as much on these hot days

so basically having some play time in my OLD age
