This is looking really great, Weery! Two things:
1. You have a typo - 'Besides, he told (me) he'd be waiting...'
2. How would it look if you toned down the canvas pattern just a bit?
Thanks so much folks I'm glad you like this map. It's a fun way to go over the top with the creepy tropes. Oh and Super Metroid is just fantastic Adfor, that era of gaming was one of the best! Super Ghouls and Ghosts was one of my own personal favourites. Thanks all for commenting.

Weery this is super creepy - and very cool looking...
One thing that, in my opinion, would make it look even better (although I'm not sure how to do it): could you make the edges of your lines a bit blurry or fuzzy to look as though the ink has bled into the canvas?

I think this is done (unless any mistakes jump out).
I started this with a loose plan that continued to change and develop over the days I worked on it. I hope it's suitably disturbing. I know for a fact I never want to find myself in a vault filled with stone rubble on the 4th level of the Barrow of Fell Nightmares face to face with the Lady in the Dark, reaching for me, eager to play...
As always, thanks for having a look

Really nice work. The canvas doesn't look nearly as overpowering now, really harmonious with the colors. And this is just a great concept - love it.
That's horribly disturbing and a very cool concept. The spiders give me the chills - I'm so afraid of spiders, I think I couldn't even manage to draw anything like that without fleeing my own desk.
The only thing I don't like are the hands of the lady in the dark. For me they don't match the overall style of the map.
