    Default Bloomhaven (for RuneQuest campaign)

A small quick map I did for my new RuneQuest campaign in the year 500 I start tomorrow.
It's the village and the surrounding landscape where the player characters live and start the game.

Ink and water colour with brush on 200g water colour paper, 39 x 23 cm.

The map has intentionally a rough look because it should transport the feeling of a map made in a village in the year 500 by some not very skilled celtic cartographer without writing desk.
At last I put some water colour earth tones over the whole thing to make it look used and dirty.

It's a map of a real location 10 km south east of Plymouth (Devon).

I printed the map with a laser printer and transferred it to the paper via light table.

(There is no WIP-thread because I did it in less than 3 hours and there is no WIP photo.)

This reminds me of a map tutorial that I followed through once. I really like the way this looks like a watercolor artwork on parchment. Is it actually done on watercolor or pens or is it done digitally?

As I wrote the whole thing was done with brushes on watercolour paper. Not even pens and no computers involved except the photo at the end.
