Ras Aria

So I decided to make a map of Ras Aria, a fort related to my watchtower drawing and Ten map. But then I hit a slight bump in the road.

So for context in order to draw the fort I need to know what and how many buildings should be in. In order to do that, I need to know how many soldiers and other people it will house. And in order to do that, I'd need to actually give one of fantasy world's armies a proper structure. So I had to do that first. I also did a bunch of reading about various historical states with standing armies in the ancient and medieval period. There were some interesting anecdotes about daily garrison life.

So this is the initial sketch plan for Ras Aria. When I start drawing it proper, the whole thing will be tilted clockwise about 50 degrees. It houses one "half great unit" (I have not named the different formation types yet as I'll be using my conlang to do that). In total that is 751 people plus some nom combatants and other randoms.
