Post Beautiful Town map from 1889

NOTE: I DID NOT MAKE THIS MAP, I AM NOT THAT OLD!!!!

This map of my hometown was created in 1889 and recently restored and posted online by KNOWOL. It is a beautifully done map and it is great to see the differences as the town grew.

I've always liked these old 19th century perspective maps. They are often posted over on the Paper Towns subreddit if anyone is curious.

Don't kid us Bogie! I think you forgot about what you were drinking at that great 130th birthday party you threw (or did you forget that too?).

I live near this Town(Sanford, ME). It is in Southern Maine. Most of the Towns around here an Artist went thru(1850's-1870's?) and made Bird's Eye view maps of the Towns and then sold them. Often business owner paid to have their business detailed on the map. That is probably what it is represented in the map key below the map. I have two gorgeous re-mastered prints by the same artist. They are of my home Town; Dover, NH and nearby Portsmouth, NH. Will try to get a pic of them up. I heard Steffan Brand is a distant relation to the artist

Update: Here is the Dover, NH Map. I have these hanging on my living room wall Click image for larger version.

Great maps Galendae, definitely the same artist.

@Mark Oliver: My memory may have some issues, but I think I would notice being twice my age!
