The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Added some walkways on the Second floor for maintenance of the chains and added a basement for maintenance of the waterwheel and water shoot. So now the mechanism works simply as the chain on the water wheel rod rotates it rotates the rod on the second level which 2 chains on spools that pass over wheels directly over the lift cage. These 2 chains attach to the middle of the cage on right and left side. There is still a manual wheel crank that can be used in emergencies. In the lift cage I added wheels, they are a bit hard to see and I'm also planned on making a break for emergencies that would allow for someone to pull inside the cage to stop it.
