September 2018 Entry - The Empyrean Skies
So, in planning for a new campaign I've been browsing through a ton of Pathfinder books, especially those detailing the planes. The 'maps' for planes are always weird and abstract, but cool.
So a combination of seeing the challenge prompt, planar maps, a set of cloud brushes I'd never actually used and a random idea for it that popped into my head while walking the dog, led to me drawing this today:

I just noticed the little castle on the Wandering Isle. What a great detail! Did you use a prism overlay or do you have your own method for getting that effect?
Not sure what you mean by a prism overlay so no XD. The castle was just drawn in white with a slight blue-green glow and a bit of shadow added behind it.Originally Posted by aeshnidae
The clouds are just varying light colours of cloud brushes and then burns and glows to add a bit more depth
