World Of Lasperil

This is a map I created a while ago for a short story I was writing. I have included 2 versions of the map, the first is my initial drawing I made while bored in class back when I was just starting this hobby (you may even see the words of my assignment through the paper) and the second is the one I just drew. I think there is a very clear improvement but this is almost certainly not the last version of this map.
Comments and critique are welcome as normal!

Basically, a brief explanation of this world is that there was once a great empire, but now an invading force has driven it back to a single, very defensible city where the once great empire is now trapped in Lasperil.

Thank you! It was a new style I was trying without the massive amounts of shading that I normally use. I am glad you like them! In any case, it is an enormous improvement on my first map!
