    I love this map. It looked absolutely fabulous in sepia tones, but your colouring does it such justice. Really fantastic work!

    I think it's really awesome and you managed to get the palette pitch perfect, but I have to ask, why not the sky?

    Many thanks for the kind words, and i'm really glad you like it, especially since this is my first proper colouring attempt with Photoshop.

    but I have to ask, why not the sky?
    I tried all sorts of blue, grey and whatever for the sky - it all looked pretty mediocre. In the end i thought the grey-ish paper colour does good enough as a sky.

    This map, especially with the colour, is breathtaking. I really like the way you've managed to get so much detail AND capture the feeling of historical town maps AND not lose clarity!
