I can just agree with all my fellows : this map is a pure gem. I love how atmospheric it is with its grey sky and dark water : perfect cloudy day with just a ray of sun casting shadows. Wonderful

As others have said, the colors really make this a fantastic map.

Very Nice, love the border (among many other things)! Any chance you could lay in some watercolor-esque tones and play with some color?

I love how you colored the river!
This map, especially with the colour, is breathtaking. I really like the way you've managed to get so much detail AND capture the feeling of historical town maps AND not lose clarity!
    That's a good job! Fantastic !
I didn't think this map could get any better then along comes this colour version to knock us all out!
It's so insanely pretty I have no words. Wow.

I really don't know what to say about this, other than saying - Thank you very much! - once again.

I'm not sure if you've seen the coloured version that's by now hidden somewhere on page 2 of this thread. In case you have, and i just misunderstood this line, i gotta ask what you mean with it - i could imagine adding more texture layers to the colouring, for a more watercolour-ish look, IF i had the knowledge and textures sources for that.

If I may make a suggestion

First, Chlodowech, could you update your first post to include the coloured version? and

Second, perhaps a CL could include the coloured version on the Cartographers' Choice thread?

Can you imagine how dumb i feel now for not even considering that option?

And thanks for telling me, doing that right now.

Is it too late to say how gorgeous and awesome this map is? Well, I just saw it a few minutes ago for the first time and, hey, it's really beautiful: the drawing, the shades, the style, with that perspective so reminiscent of old engraved maps. A 10/10.
