I may try and enter this one but with inktober and other personal projects, I'm not sure.

Ah too bad you can't join in, Chashio, but yeah, I'm also looking forward to seeing what people do.

Hope you can find the time, Larb. There's a couple that could be adapted to nice little villages...

This is a cool competition idea, and there are some lovely photos picked out!
Sadly I have several other commitments this month, so if I do enter it may well be a week or more from now.
Regardless I'm excited to see what my fellow cartographers produce!

Well I have limited time these days. I've recently started a new job and I have 3 hours of travel each day. I'm forming some kind of idea though.

Hope you can find the time to take part, but if not, hopefully we'll see some good ideas from others.

Eww, three hours of commuting sucks. But... maybe it gives you time to develop your ideas at least. Oh, and congrats on the new job!

Okay, I love it. I'm going to postpone some things and work on this one for sure.

I'm considering a village map myself but I'll try to keep it on the small scale given other things I'm doing. It's just a case of which photo to choose...

I love the photo of the turf covered cottages from the Faroe Isles. I actually thought of you when I picked it, reckoning that it would work well for a 'Larb-style' village map.

I was actually looking at that one and wondering if that was a small tidal inlet or not, with the sea just beyond the rock. =P
