Default The Dragon's Backbone and Surrounding Lands - novel version (finished)

Hey all! This map is the second in a pair that will be used in my upcoming fantasy novel. The first one (which you can find here) gave an overview of "Aran & Ilan, or the Lands on either Side of the Dragon's Backbone". This second map zooms in on the most important region, namely a portion of the Dragon's Backbone.

I created both a strictly B&W version of the map that I intend to use in the novel (okay, I kept the roads in red for clarity ) and a coloured version, because who doesn't like colour!

To get an idea of how the maps will look together, here's a combo of the two, and even a quick mock-up against a random (obviously free of rights) image of an empty book. Just for fun

Awesome! I love all these maps! Just the type that fit into a cracky delicious fantasy tale...

I already said this over at the WIP thread, but it bears repeating: outstanding work on this, I really think this is some of your best work so far (and as we all know that is no small accomplishment). I know some of my fellows prefer the colored version, but I think it works superbly in grayscale. Beautiful penmanship, truly.

Can't rep you right now since I already repped the WIP thread post

How can I not agree with what others have already said? This came out fantastic. Well done!

Fantastic work! I'm in love with the book mock-up. Who wouldn't buy that book after they saw those maps?!
