    Map Sri Lankan Adventure

A map I created as a holiday gift for my life-long best friend and her husband, who absolutely loved their trip to Sri Lanka and plan to return. This was hand-drawn and colored in Photoshop using a Wacom Intuos tablet. Most of the insets are based on their photos from the trip; each of the corners contains symbols from the national emblem of Sri Lanka. The font is XXII Arabian One Night Stand, which is not accurate for Sri Lanka but was the best option available.

A very attractive map, and I'm happy that your friend loved it.

Very nice map! The color palette is a good pick.

Nice work. I like the the style of mountains here. The texture seems to be a bit low res, but it probably won't matter when it's printed. What a lovely gift!

Thanks, Kellerica! The texture issue is perplexing, because it's the base texture is the same thing I've used many times, and this is the first time it's looked low-res. But fortunately the printed version was fine.
