Thread: January 2019 Challenge: Earth 2085

    Default January 2019 Challenge: Earth 2085

    I couldn't resist to enter this one!
    After all, I never did a world map for my near future dystopian setting (inspired by Blade Runner).

    More a placeholder start for now (Just playing with some layers and filters).

    Awesome start! It looks like something I'd find in National Geographic (so pretty amazing). What's going to happen with the black line near western Greenland?

    Thank guys! You're way too kind.
    I'm kind messing & hesitating a lot... hence not really more and nothing truly definitive.

    I really like the glow effect on the regional lines - it could maybe be even stronger? Make it really look like a glowing hologram thing.

    Some of those lines are politically... delicate, for lack of a better word. I know this is fiction, but Germany and Poland being one region is, historically speaking, pretty loaded. Korea aswell. But I guess that all fits into a dystopia pretty well!

    I just don't really know what to do with this one... I just can't decide myself.
    Well, here I am for now.

    @Kellerica : well, maybe. I'll give it a try.
    @Llannagh : yes indeed, it's a dystopia. Plus, the Germany/poland part is in fact the "Czechosoviet Empire", hence it's more germany and poland invaded by Czech. The Empire is still at war with the Republic of Berlin.
    Korea is a part of a "Maelstrom", a region with humans who turned into something... different.
