Map January 2019 Challenge: The Lost Ring

    Hello Everyone,
I tell myself I want to take part of the challenge since months, but I never find the right time to do it.
This month I didn't want to have an excuse anymore and I started to sketch a concept which was inspired from the map in progress of another user (The title of his/herpost is "January 2019 Challenge: RingWorld")

I tried to think about a future, where the level of the ocean raised hardly. And people Used to take the laste resources to build their new homes, which are sort of satellites with artificial oxy, and made of a strong technology.
Their new houses are like Rings (this is what The ispiration made) floating around mechanical orbs.

Badly, one of the satellites did fell and broke in the land, creating a sort of "rebellion"
So i imagine those 2 strations monitoring the rebel island in the middle, while trying to preserve their hierarchy.

    Followng the first sketch/layout

    ### Latest WIP ###

It is the first time I post a work I made, and i'm not really proud of my work sometimes Its like something is missing or the language is wrong.
Actually I think of this map as something more SCIfi than distopian. So i might update it if I can understand what it is wrong with it.
Actually i just used random names and runes for the locations, i'm not really good with this part

But I wanted to get this further and upload it, just to do not lose the deal with myself.
I could cut some spare time for myself, and this is a great goal. lol

    Thank you everyone,
    Ren

    Wow, that looks great Ren!

Just a heads up, the thumbnail scraper seems to be taking your B&W WIP rather than the coloured version.

I tried to use a specific frame, to give the idea it is a map on screen, instead a map on paper

I'm not a native english speaker so i'm not sure I understood

You mean the "WIP" Tag was applied to the sketch instead?

Maybe with the last entry this changed. Let's see

I absolutely LOVE this style of yours! Zero constructive criticism from me, this is something I couldn't do in a million years so I'm just gawking and admiring Nice font choice too, and those glyphs are a great addition.
