Post February 2019 Challenge: Greenbreaks Den

    Hi Guild !
Finally, here is my very first participation to a guild challenge, and, not my first map but... not so far.

@RenflowerGrapx ask me to do a rebellion camp hidden in a march, with and entrance behind a mud waterfall and with sereral rooms in it (at least : an emergency room, a dorm and a main place with a fire to talk).
And, more important than all other : some leaves.

I decided to go to an isometric map, not because it's easier than a top down but because the idea I had in mind requires iso (and takes somethings like ten more times to do... You know what ? Sometimes, I doubt about my life's choice).

So here is my first sketch. Warning, at this point, absolutely nothing is definitive because my goal is far over my skills. I'll try to reach it anyway... Or at least, go as close as possible.

    Tadaaaaaa :

Looks like you're off to a fine start. ISO maps like that are tough. I've tried a few in the past and rarely had the patience to complete them.

    Huzzah, go Oni!

ISO maps are, indeed, a bitch to get looking right. But no guts, no glory, eh? I think you are off to a fantastic start.

You still owe me some potato mountains, though!

    Good start.

I was considering doing something along these lines but my problem is that I always overcomplicate things.

OH my! This is already so awesome!
Your sketch looks as my final stages XD XDXD

I can't get the accuracy to work on isometric, I think i'm too much a self-made illustrator. but I want to learn so bad!

    What to say?
Yes, the hidden cove behind the waterfall is always a classic, shall say "OLD but GOLD"

Onirian, your work promises a lot! Such inspiring!
Thank you for accepting the partership, I appreciated!

Don't forget the special requirement: LEAVES lol lolol

    Hi everyone !
I'm sorry for the late reply but I was sick these last days and unable to progress as I wanted on the map.
Thank you all so much for your encouragment message, it's a real challenge for me and I'll try to do a map as cool as I can ^_^.

@ren : I saw your drawing, 2 options : you are too much kind with me or too hard with you ! Your are better than you thought ! And as I promised, I won't forget the leaves. Even if they will be the worst leaves never seen on a guild challenge, I will draw some leaves on this map !

And... Here is a new preview. At this stage it's still a sketch and nothing is definitive. In particular, I'm not happy with somes walls, the connexion between the cliff and the edge and the general shape of the pond, so I'll probably redraw them. But I must confess that my stairs are better than expected and I'm pretty proud of it ^^.
