Yes, it does go coast to coast, but that doesn't mean we can't fix it .

But, you figured out my reason for why I began working on the Malazan map. I wanted to make it more clear!

There really is no reason for them to curve. Other than that, I'm still very fond of this style, and the colors used here look great.
Thanks. I will explore how it will look with straight titles for the cities. I think it might be strange with them at an angle, so I will need to figure how to render them on any geographic feature.

One issue is that I made the map too small. So the titles need to be a certain size. I wish i could redo to be poster size.

How does having this horizontal lines to define the ocean? Does this help?

I'm almost done adding to the whole map and will send an update.

Ok, I added the full set of "ripple" lines to my map. I like this on other maps, but maybe it doesn't work as well here with how dark and contrasted the map is...

    What do you think?

I've updated the titles of cities to not be on a curve. I added a glow on the text so that it would be more easily read over different geographies. I couldn't make the text smaller because the size isn't for poster.

    What do you think?

Not sure why I missed this thread, but that's a really great map you made, Joshua ! I really love the simple border and title, working extremely well with the whole map. Great colors, great shapes, great details

I made an update the map. I converted the coastal lines from black to blue. I felt the black horizontal lines didn't help with the style of the map. I also brightened the color of the coastal waters.

    That's a big improvement!

    It's a good looking map.
I think you could call it finished.
