    Map My Middle Earth Relecture

    This is my Middle Earth Relecture, a tribute to master Tolkien.
    I tried to reconstruct something original, however this is a kind of... sacred map, and it is hard to make something new. So, I put some scenes and miniatures based in characters and scenes from movies. Also, the compass contains references to kingdoms and phrases of The Ring.

    Here you can find:
    - The Shire, with the houses in the hills;
    - Trolls in the "Troll's shaws";
    - Rivendell and Elrond's Council;
    - Smaug and Erebor;
    - The five wizards;
    - Nazgul;
    - Gollum;
    - Treebeard;
    - Dol Guldur fortress;
    - I tried to write with "elfic font" and each name has different decorative lines under it.
    - and many other small pictures.
    I kindly suggest to open the original image and explore each detail.
    I painted with coffee.

    You can find it here: https://www.cartographersguild.com/a...3&d=1552876747
    or attached to this thread.

    Sorry about my english mistakes and I hope you like it!!!

    Very nice map, with a very nice artistic note! It is true that the place is very well known, but it is always interesting to see new interpretations of known maps. It's a great job, bravo!

    Hehe, I agree with JO : it's always good to see new versions of this map, but also a good training to experiment on such a monument and try something new
    Your interpretation respects incredibly well the original spirit of the map with an additional touch of charm, while adding details I rarely saw elsewhere. Congrats for it, Bendo, it's a good job you made there !

    Somewhere dark and rather dangerous...and also inhabited by these confounded mosquitoes.

    I like it! It has a very Narnia-esque feel to it.

    That sure is a lot of work and it's a really nice rendering of the map. The story elements discreetly added to the map and the great compass (I'm a sucker for compass) are all wonderful ideas. Great job !
