March / April '19 Lite Challenge: Nymtherione and its Moons
Been a while since I've participated in a challenge, so let's give this one a go! I see your full moon and raise you three more. My inspiration for this map were those antique maps that include astronomical sketches/diagrams along the outside of main map.
So here's my setup: The primary map will be a lightly detailed world map, with the four moons orbiting the world occupying space in the corners provided by this map projection - something akin to what I've got on here already for each moon, with some labels and details on those as well.

Lovely map! I really like the textures and the colours.
First I had a similar idea but mine would have been a lot simpler, so I'm kinda glad I decided to do something different.
Looks like a good start, North !
Update number 1:
Labels, colors, mountains, rivers added. Re-done title base, more moons added.
The labels will need some work in terms of legibility. They're getting lost right now when they cross linework. I also think I might try to tone down the nation colors but I haven't made up my mind yet. Thoughts on that topic?

It's coming along! There are still some aspects that I'm not in love with but overall I like how it's going. Next step is the border!

Just keeps getting better and better. I like that the moons are different color.

Alright, I'm about ready to call this one and I'm pretty pleased with the way it came out. I may make a few more small edits but for the most part this one is done.
