April 2019 Challenge: The Gulf
It my first time when I'm taking a part in any challengeI've made a map of a little pirate town. The town is located in a small, unobstructed bay which allows pirates a peaceful life and running a murderous business. In town are locatet a lot of small warehouses, taverns, hotels and bordellos.

Welcome to the challenge. It is definitely a nice one.
Though, I can't help but read Diamond's challenge description "As long as the map is definitely piratical in nature and would be viewed that way by an innocent bystander who knows nothing of this challenge, you're good." and feel it does not yet look like a pirate theme at first look.
Maybe you can add a piraty themed border, or banners. There is a lot of potential how to go about it.
Still, it is a nice harbour map so far.

A really well done map! Though I agree with XCali, it needs to be more outwardly pirate themed. Have some rep for a speedy delivery!
It looks really good I think.
Regarding the "it doesn't look piratey enough thing" - perhaps simply adding a location key and listing the important corsair related buildings might make it more obvious.

Yeah I'm with the others here, looks good but doesn't yet appear obviously pirate themed. Larb's suggestion is pretty good. You could also show a pirate ship coming into port.

I'm totally beginner in digital, but I've added pirates skull to the map.
Yep, that skull and crossbones definitely does the trick!
Also, don't forget to use the ### Latest WIP ### tag before your pictures, or they won't show up in the scraper when it comes time to vote...
