    Post June 2019 Challenge: Aigue-Marine

    Hi!
It's been a long time since I joined a challenge. I hope I'll find the time to finish this one

I'll try to describe the underwater city of Aigue-Marine, a merfolk city near the coasts of an old empire.
As the city is underwater, there is no walls or tower to defend it. Instead of ot, each building has cristalline roofs so every one can see attackers coming.
Furthermore, there is some watchtowers to prevent sneak attacks.
Aigue-Marine was built alongside the Great Scar, a huge trench from which monsters from another age appears once or twice per century.

Looking good fol2dol I really like the sharks!

I've just entered the challenge with my own map, and then I realised that it has a few similarities to yours. Sorry if I'm copying your idea; it's not intentional

Anyway, looking forward to seeing where you take this one

    Thanks Wingshaw!
I saw your map and it's promising, I like your buildings
At first I wanna have buildings like yours but I changed my mind and thought of bubble-like buildings, floating above the ground.

The seahorse rider is just sweet, and fits the scale very well accompanied with the size of the sharks.

The bubble-buildings are really unique as well. I imagine that welcomed denizens would be able to enter/exit from any point, for ease of defense.

Stellar work so far, gimme more!

    Cheers!

Solid concept. I like that you've provided both a top down and side view of the structure. Are you planning to somehow combine these maps though?

    Cheers,

    Thanks Adfor,
It was the idea. In an underwater environment, it's a little like in outerspace, there is no/little concept of gravity so you can get in or out from anywhere

    Thanks Arsheesh,
I'll try to combine the two maps. The side view to illustrate the top view.

    I think it looks great!
Like a thief in the night
    she comes with no form
    yet tranquility proceeds
    the accursed storm...
