    Default Underground Testing Site WIP

Here's a little "map" I've been working on.
An underground laboratory and it's (incidental) surface entrance.
I'm still working on trying to covey the difference in elevation and would certainly appreciate any advice/feedback on how to bring that about.

Hi Nabukazal. Usually something that best represents a change in elevation is stairs or a similar object. If you don't want to add such elements, You could draw the map using a parallel projection. Most popular is isometric, but it gives you a very 3-dimensional look and might force you to add transparency to some objects, such as walls obscuring important detail. This is common with assembly manual drawings and other technical drawings, where hidden elements are usually represented by dashed strokes. It's also why I would choose to create a custom grid, in which the lines on the height axis are shortened, as that would produce a more flat, but still 3D projection, where not much detail gets hidden. It might be enough to show the incline, although the steeper the angle it has, the easier it would read too.
