Commission 2019: the City of Valhallow

Hello everyone. This is a small city map I recently finished, showing the canyon city Valhallow.

The past month I have had the chance to work on several smaller one-page city illustrations and it’s slowly becoming my favorite style, since it allows me to include all those small details that I love, without becoming to overbearing and time-consuming like some of my larger city maps.

Looks great, Karl! Really cool design and layout, and the hand-drawn look makes it feel really authentic - like it has actually been created by some local inhabitant

When you say you're doing smaller maps, what's the size of this page? A4?

The final image was around a A4, so it took me about a 8 hours to draw the black and white version

I'm always in love with your style, and this map is not an exception. I love the general feeling, this different architecture style and most of all the colors you used here. Just perfect for my taste

Great piece! I like the layout. I gather there must be dragons or some other winged terror flying about, what with all those ballistae.
