Thread: Arton Topographic Map

    Wip Arton Topographic Map

As I rest from my West Marches map, I'm studying topographic representation on a smaller illustration. This is a section of the Arton world map, from brazilian Tormenta RPG setting. I just threw the labels around and still have to put some outline on them to be visile (as on the forests [Floresta] and marches [Pântano]). The challenge here is to represent everything with graphic textures. It's fun, actually.

I'm doing it on Adobe Illustrator.

    Really liking that.

You might want to consider dropping the opacity of the textures a bit. That way they blend more, and it'll help with readability.

Thanks, KM! That helped a lot, and I painted behind the labels as well. I'm really happy with the results until now!
