    Question Website

Hi guys! I wanted to ask you something. I was thinking of making a website and using it for my maps. I already have lots of social media profiles for that (Facebook, Twitter, Deviantart, etc.), but I was thinking of making a single site that can have all of these and can also be sort of mine.
I don't know, but maybe in the future I may be able to sell some of my maps there. I mean, who knows?

The thing is, I'm new to cartography, so I'd like to use a free website (at least at first). I have lots of Wordpress knowledge and I also have seen many platforms, but since you guys know more about cartography, you may know if a platform offers something better for cartographers and stuff like that.
So, what do you guys think?

I don't really maintain social media for my maps. I get most of my business from my website, which is a Wordpress template, and from Upwork. I have not been maintaining a store on my website, I just use it to get commissions. The social media landscape is going to be always changing, so yes, I do think everyone should have a website. But eh, someone out there probably thinks i NEED Instagram / Pinterest. Someone else out there gets all their business from DeviantArt. And yet another person out there gets their business from Reddit. Do what you're comfortable with, make a website if you want.

    Thanks for your reply!
I started with social media since I wanted to create an audience. Of course, since I've started recently that audience is small and I'm not trying that much to make it any bigger yet. But I guess having a main website would be something nice and perhaps I could use it to expand my audience a little bit.
Of course, I've also seen that DeviantArt is also really amazing as a main site to have, since it has some really nice tools for an artist. As for a free platform, Wix is good. But just like every free platform, it has it's negatives.
