Aaaand another incremental update. Check out the seas! The effect is minuscule but I like it.

And I think that's the last version before I start labelling! What do you think?

It is splendid Pieter but ... if you allow me to be a pain in the donkey for a minute, what about adding those discreet but very elegant sea touches to suggest shallow waters along the coast ? I mean some more shallows to give the sea more character ?

EDIT : but this is beyond splendid, you manage to push the bar higher with every map and you started high

The lineart is splendid and the colors are striking ! Love the perspective too.
I kinda say I'm not a fan of the strong shading of the sea... but it's a only a matter of personnal taste, I'd say.

Okay! So we took a long family holiday and visited some gorgeous spots on this beautiful orb of ours, and after a month of absence, I'm back with a first update for you guys!

As you can see, I've started adding in 6 circular cartouches that will show some of the most important locations of the map. The first 3 have been inked in yet (though they might still change if the client feels like they need some alterations). If the client signs off on them, I will start colouring and shading them as well.

What do you think about them? Do they fit the style of the map?

    Lovely!

And I don't know what the thing is regarding the sea, I quite enjoy it.

    Finally an update!

I like the inserts, they work well and looking forward to seeing what will go in the last few.

    Thanks guys!

Below you'll find an update, with the inserts now completely done: inked, coloured and shaded. I also redid the top one, since I just didn't like the way the original version looked. I hope you like what you see!

Next step is to add a bunch of labels to the map itself, and then this little monster is done!

Alright, so I guess my map is finished! If you're curious about the fully labelled version, be sure to check out the Aeash thread in the finished section.

Thanks to everyone who helped me along with their critique and suggestions! I couldn't have done it without you.
