Default July 2019 Challenge: The Three Beacons of the West

This takes place in the same world as my map called "A Gods World", and there exists three city states based on three different Native American cultures, each protected by a divine beast who are sisters, and in turn the three citystates are called sisters by the wider world as well. They are by far the strongest and most advanced of all civilization around them, and so they are also called the three beacons, or the three sisters interchangeably. This will also include the surrounding area.

I like the shape of your coastlines.

I do love the inlet though, it seems very naturally formed.

Thank you guys! The coastlines took me a bit of work.

I've recently found time to work on it again, and I hope to get almost all of it, or atleast most of it done by the end of this weekend. I know the deadline is sneaking up (when is it, exactly? The 30th?) so I'm gonna try and get it done before it ends. The shading around the mountains is just a 'test' to see how it works.

I like the start of the cliffy bits, I've been doing a lot of that on my maps lately and I think it adds some pleasant depth. I have no idea of the precise deadlines since I've never participated in any of these contesty things before (though I've been around for a LONG time LOL sheeet). Even if you don't finish it in time to enter the contest I think you'd have a viable stock map here for a future release to DriveThruRPG or something if you fuss over it.

I just love your rivers. They seem to flow so naturally! I hope you can finish this one.

I've been trying to get more work done it, but mid-terms have been kicking my butt. I'm gonna put some more work into it tonight and tomorrow, and for as much time as I still have to do it. But, for now I suppose this could very well be my final draft. Regardless though, I'll finish it later.

@Tiana Thank you, I always try to put cliffs into maps, as it helps add more depth, I think.
@Mimine I hope I can finish it too but things have a way of stopping me. Now that I've gotten more into drawing again, I should have it done with time to spare *after* the challenge

Also, for anyone curious the border (not the corners) is made following the Coast Salish art-style, which is one of the three cultures that the beacons/sisters were based on. The other two cultures are Aztec/Mayan and Missippian. The influences are primarily Mayan, as it's the easiest to find references to, but the Missippians favored concentric circles and spirals, which can be seen on the corners. The influences will hopefully come into play more a little bit later, in the symbols, icons, font, and patterns that I'll be using.

Sad to see this did not get finished for the competition, really like the style of "A Gods World" map.

I've been trying to crunch as much as I could, hopefully I can get it more into a finished state before the threads are locked.
@GodofMoxie still gonna try and work on it, haha.

Gonna finish detailing more of the terrain, adding some features where I think they would help.
