Newbie Cartographer says Hi!
Hello, mapmakers. I actually have a long history of drawing maps by hand, but have not done in for several years.
I was born in New York, served as a musician in the US Army for 20 years, retired in Northern Virginia, and later moved to the Triad area of North Carolina (all in the US). I am now a retired computer programmer and my main activities are reading, community theatre, and a newly rediscovered love for Dungeons & Dragons in Fantasy Grounds.
It is the D&D activity that reignited, after a long hiatus, my interest in mapmaking. I have started again with digital tools, most significantly Campaign Cartographer 3+. I picked it because the end products seemed the most exciting and variable, but I confess that I am having a hard time getting at all skillful with it. But I will stick with it!
