If you are after Ilanthar's style, maybe using less saturated colors or lowering the opacity on a multiply layer (notre ami fais toujours plus avec moins, c'est son talent pour la décroissance ).

    Another great map anyways
Merci Thomas ! I'm glad you liked it... after a while I thought it's scale was a bit strange : between a regional and a city map, I wasn't sure it would work.
I know the colors of Ilanthar are a lot more subtle, I'm just not there yet !
    It's a process...

I really like what you've done with those mountains, you've developed a very great technique there. And of course that city connecting the two land masses is all kinds of fun. I also like the attractive color scheme you've chosen for this piece. Very fine work JO.

    Cheers

Great Map JO! I think the city layout is really cool, I've seen locks before, but never more than one level, it's such a neat idea to have multiple levels, and then also to lock the water both directions out the city! It's awesome, the overall color scheme also is working very nicely.

Thanks a lot, Pomb ! I've seen a lot of pictures of locks in series.... It is always impressive to see the slopes that boats can go up or down.
