Thread: Aug/Sep 2019 Lite Challenge Entry: In the Hall of the Mountain King

  1. #1

Default Aug/Sep 2019 Lite Challenge Entry: In the Hall of the Mountain King

Needed to step away from my Map of Thra for a bit and I really liked this challenge.

Song that led to the idea is: In the Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg

Will also be stepping way out of my comfort zone by giving an Isometric Dungeon map a go
I did do some isometric pixelart a decade ago, but never by hand on paper.

First step: Creating an Isometric grid by hand...*crosses fingers*

I'm already a fan. What kind of pencil do you use for grids?

That’s a nice version of it aswell, thanks for the heads-up!

I used a really sharp 4H to do it but...

I gave drawing the grid by hand a go, but when I tried to make a narrower grid it started to get wonky...can’t have a wonky grid now can we?!
So I ended up ‘cheating’ a bit by using a printed grid and a LED screen to save me some time
