Map Commission: Imperium - A World of Lost Memories

A cyberpunk and post-apocalypse inspired piece done for Massaad Design, a French indie developer.

This was something rather different from what I usually work on, but at the same time it was a great piece to try new methods on. The final layout will be different as the studio has their own layout artist.

Interesting. It has a triangular texture to it which creates an over industrialized environment. Which is probably exactly what is wanted for something like this.

I like the textures of both land and sea. It certainly has an appropriate feel to it. There are a couple of points on the labels that jump out at me:

"Océan of" on the left seems incomplete.
Also, I would think "APLHA" should match "ALPHA".

Very interesting style! I'm not completely sold on the ocean texture and coloring, but the city and the typography look great.

You've managed to make the map feel cramped, industrial and gloomy; exactly the sort of atmosphere appropriate to the genre. Well done.
