Commission: Taking Cover

Hi Folks,

Here is another commission, this time an encounter map, I recently completed. No WIP thread for this one.

The background textures; rock wall and floor, forest area and shrine floor were made using Jon Hodgson's Map Tiles Kit with permission. These were rotated and flipped in Photoshop CS4 with a liberal amount of blending using both the eraser tool with low opacity and the healing brush. I did all the line work, the idol and the bridge border and cobblestone overlay (on Jon's floor texture). This was a fun little project to do.

The reference image I was given for the idol was the cover of the Dungeons & Dragons 1st Ed. Players Handbook. I think I did it justice.



Edit: It looks a little washed out, didn't realise that would happen. I copied the flattened image from Photoshop to Illustrator to add the copyright text and accidentally change the colour profile form RGB to CYMK. Won't be doing that again!
