Wip October 2019 Challenge: The Twilight Realms

Well, this is probably going to bite me on the backside since I am sure things will blow up at work now that I am starting this, but......

Got an inkling of lore for this rattling around in my head, but nothing on paper just yet. Few major coast lines and a bit of color for now. Need to work in the other "wet" areas, but happy with the progress I made today that includes a reason for the "Shadow Coast," though that cliff is gonna need a lot of work.

Very little time over the week to work on this because, of course, things fell apart at work and I had to put in extra hours. Have managed a bit of mountain work this morning, and experimenting with something besides a plain background color. Thoughts or suggestions?

I like the color and background choice.

    Thanks DrWho and Aesh.

So I kept working on those mountains and wasn't being real happy with them, so I opted for a different approach. These mountains are from an experimental brush I made a few years ago and managed to save after the last crash (motherboard instead of hard drive). Am happier with the way they look, but it is gonna be far more difficult to draw the cliffs along the shadow coast in a similar style.

Great looking mountains... I used to have a lot of mountain brushes.... used to... (sigh)

I think making cliffs like that will be more about the shading than the actual drawing... but I could be wrong.

    Thanks Del.

Tried a quick experiment on the cliffs. Basically, I stretched the height on the mountains, painted them in, then drew in the edge of the cliffs, erasing the mountains above the edge. Think it actually turned out pretty good and maintains style for the most part. Not so much a wip as it is a sample for review and/or suggestions. Think I might need to go in for a little enhancement of some "vertical" edges along the face just to really punch it home.
