    Default Du' Lothglen (Melonia Forest)

My husband is running a 2nd ed D&D game for my sons and I, he's actually been running it for about 3 years now. My youngest is playing a fighter who is heir to a throne... except that his kingdom was invaded and conqured many years ago.

My character is the sole survivor of another region that was destroyed over a century before (I'm playing an elf). We are getting to the point where we are heading back to those areas, and my husband needed to know what the areas looked like from our perspectives.

So this is Du'Loth'glen, the city of Shadowynne's infancy. The entire city and it's population was destroyed when she was an infant. Click image for larger version.

Not sure if there is a DND character that exists without the tragic backstory!
Looks great. I especially like how the lake edge molds with the shore. That is a very nice way of doing that.

thank you! I like making my lakes that way... most of my overland and regional maps have my lakes looking like that.

Great map Storm! Glad to hear you & your hubby are playing a long term D&D campaign with your son. I used to DM for my son & daughter. I just watched a PBS video that was looking at how the resurgence of D&D might be the best way to get kids off video games and get them doing real imaginative playtime and socialization.

Oh trust me, we are all gamers at this house! Both of my boys are in my hubby's D&D game... although I don't know if I can call them boys any more... my youngest just celebrated his 18th birthday this past week!

I'm sorry I won't be mapping much over the next couple of months.. this is my holiday crafting season, plus I'm trying to get an online craft business up and running. But I will be lurking from time to time, and I still have maps I need to make, so I will be in and out.
