Just do your ink shading on a separate layer so you can still easily mask out the main shapes. If you're hand drawing, draw the ink shading in blue or red, because you can use alpha layers to rapidly select it and then move it to a new layer and turn it black.

I know what you mean with Photoshop, I stopped using it and went to start coloring in Clip Studio Paint and found it was way easier on my system. I just didn't need all the bells and whistles Photoshop runs in the background to color in inks and the other simple raster art tasks I do.

Honestly man don't stress yourself out over the colors, the maps are amazing in Black and White as it is, your players should be thrilled to have access to this kind of creative space customized to them. Your latest three interior building designs are all awesome in their own ways.

Thank you very much That is very encouraging to read. Working on my work flow and reducing some of the edits that I'm doing is helping with the Photoshop lag that builds up over time. Some of my favorite brushes cause so much trouble but I like them so much.

Two Swamp Themed battle maps to color and I'm finally caught up on the backlog.
