That's 46x61 cm minimum and 91x122 cm maximum size at 1cm = 60cm in normal people's measurements.
Jan/Feb '20 Lite Challenge: RPG needs a DUNGEON map.
This month's Challenge is a SIMULATED commission. Pretend the publisher of an indie RPG needs a dungeon map to publish in their new adventure. They have very specific needs for some of the map elements but will give you leeway to create the rest of the dungeon.
Setting: Fantasy
Location: Underground Dungeon
Construction: Partially natural, partially man-made, ancient / old but in good condition / currently in use.
Size / Scale minimum size 18" x 24" maximum size 36" x 48" at 1 inch = 5 feet resolution min 100 dpi, max 200 dpi
Specific Rooms:
1: Entry from an above ground area. Should have a door or gate of some kind.
2: Guardroom near the entry, a place for guards to watch entry but also store their gear and rest.
3: Storage room for supplies
4: Workroom / smithy / forge
5: Grand Hall / meeting room / dinning room
6: Chapel
7: Living quarters for 10 to 25 occupants.
8: Small treasure room to store valuables
9: Jail / Prison
10: Mine
11: Chasm / Large bottomless pit
12: Water feature, a room with a well, a pond, or a stream.
13: Catacombs
Win a silver compass, you'll like it
The Challenge will run until the end of the day on the 14th of February, (Midnight eastern daylight time between the 14th and 15th, more or less, depending on when I can get to the computer to start the voting) and then there will be 3 days of voting. Someone is going to win a Silver Compass, it could be you!
As usual, title your threads: "Jan/Feb '20 Lite Challenge: << your title here >> "
Don't forget to put the hashtag: ### Latest WIP ### in front of all WIP pictures, and especially in front of your final map. And don't forget, there is a WIP button that automatically posts this for you. Try it, You'll like it!
And remember, if you put more than one image on the same post, only one of them gets picked up.
DEADLINE: February 14th
Quick rules reminder: The Lite Challenge is open to anyone who has not already won 3 Silver compasses, 1 Gold Compass, or been selected as a featured Cartographer's Choice Map.
Also, the map has to be started on or after the first day of the challenge, no reusing older maps even if they were not finished.

Right up my alley, though I'll have to get sketch paper of that size to accommodate these very specific needs of the 'publisher'.
I hope to make an entry for this, excited!

This sounds exciting! I've never done a dungeon map before but I've been wanting to, so this is perfect! Thanks!
Inspiring, count me in !
I missed January's mapping challenge, but this one sounds very promising.

I have to enter this.
Question though, I’ve been working on some random dungeon tiles off & on for awhile now (there’s a thread on here somewhere) can I use the tiles even though they were created well before the challenge? The ‘dungeon’ itself would be completely new...
