1st attempt at a Josh top down forest, critique comments.

So I attempted a Josh Stolarz top down forest.

Not my usual style or what I am good at, any critique is appreciated, not 100% done blocking or clean up, just wondering if I am on the right track.

Yes, I'll be doing this style for my continental/ world map...so one down, 300 to go. By the end of the piece I'll be as good as Josh

Definitely on the right track! I like the shape and the details for the leaf ridges, plus color choices are great too. My only small critique would be that in Josh's style the shadows and highlights hug the ridges for the leaves a bit more closely and follow their contours instead of shading or highlighting the shape of the trees themselves. Although I think your highlighting and shading looks good too
