March 2020 Mapping Challenge: The Batcave

I've been umming and ahhing over this challenge since it began. Comic books and superheroes don't tend to be my thing (certainly nothing against them, just never gotten into them properly!), but in the end I guess that's what these challenges are for, jumping outside the comfort zone.

So, I'm trying my hand at a vertical map of the Batcave! I'm taking influence from the games and films I've seen, along with looking up details from the comic books, so it might not be wholly accurate to one universe, but hopefully it'll still feel Batman-esque. Plus, I'm going to try and go for the comic-book approach in artstyle-ish, so we'll see how that goes.

Here's a basic outline complete with tiny bats!

Okay, another update. Lots of linework in and it's becoming more of a map! Along with some more comic-book style elements in the mix too.

Okay, new update. Some tweaks to the layout, cleaned up linework, lots of shading, colouring, more details are in.

Things still to go:
- Finish adding interior equipment (if anyone has suggestions for machinery/training stuff that'd be cool )
- Add a few splashes of colour to equipment (not too much)
