Here's a short video of a gift I made for a friend who is DMing for the first time.

This screen is looking great! I've only build some with carboard and some spaces for lists and the like. Maybe I just should combine the list-thing with a wooden box like your's
How was the embossed Text done pwbinde? Did you build it under the leather or is it leather clued on leather?

Very nice, thanks for sharing, I'm actually working on making a DM screen for myself who is embarking on potentially DMing for the first time.

That is pretty dern cool. He must be pleased as punch. The hidden magnets are a nice touch and the brackets on the inside.

Why did you line the box covers with steel? For sticking magnets on?

Yes, the covers are steel to allow for use of magnets.

That is so cool :O That looks really good. Must be a real pleasure to be able to put that one down whenever you can and just look at the players: "How about that huh? Stuff is about to get real."
But without kidding around: Amazing! (I keep on loaning the standard DnD screens.. )
