Default May/June '20 Lite Challenge: Find some Inspiration

May/June '20 Lite Challenge: Find some Inspiration

This month's Challenge is a little different. Sometimes it is hard to find an inspiration for a map. That is one of the things I like about these challenges, they give me ideas. So let's try this: I am going to post some pictures and artwork. Pick one you like and create a map based on it. The choice is yours, do what you want with it. Just have fun, and create something great with it

You know this will be good for you!

Win a silver compass, it will look great next to your throne.

The Challenge will run until the end of the day on the 14th of June, (Midnight eastern daylight time between the 14th and 15th, more or less, depending on when I can get to the computer to start the voting) and then there will be 3 days of voting. Someone is going to win a Silver Compass, it could be you!

As usual, title your threads: "May/June '20 Lite Challenge: << your title here >> "

Don't forget to put the hashtag: ### Latest WIP ### in front of all WIP pictures, and especially in front of your final map. And don't forget, there is a WIP button that automatically posts this for you. Try it, You'll like it!

And remember, if you put more than one image on the same post, only one of them gets picked up.

DEADLINE: End of day, June 14th

Quick rules reminder: The Lite Challenge is open to anyone who has not already won 3 Silver compasses, 1 Gold Compass, or been selected as a featured Cartographer's Choice Map.
Also, the map has to be started on or after the first day of the challenge, no reusing older maps even if they were not finished unless you start over from scratch.

Once again, thank you, Sir Bogie, for bringing us that sweet challenge goodness every month, without fail, rain or shine, worldwide crises be damned! And I see you've cooked us up something pretty special this time. I, for one, can't wait to get started!

I don't know if anyone else was having an issue with the second to last image in the series, aptly named "Wallpaper-Landscape the edge.jpg." For me, it kept bringing up a thumbnail when I clicked on it. Well, one google search got me the full-sized version amd I thought I would share...

Thanks MB! I thought I had downloaded the wallpaper version, but all I got was the thumbnail. The large version you tracked down is spectacular.

Couple 2 or 3 are fairly inspiring, but, as always, it's all about having time...

I'd love to but I'm trying to actually finish some of my other ones that I started. Maybe once I clean my slate a bit more.

    I am in.

The first photo, the little tower on the outcropping of rocks.
Been thinking of doing the inside of a tower for a while, so no better time then now.
