Interesting start. The upper left gave me Castlevania flashbacks in a good way. Can't wait to see how it goes.
Manona : a small cliff, next to the sea, nothing on it except rocks and grass. And the well, the very known well, where countless slaves have been sacrified to the sea gods, hoping for a good whale hunt, for fishes in the nets, for storms drowning an unfaithful husband.
In fact, nobody knows if there is some power in it. And nobody cares. Sacrifice is the price for faithful devotion.
these are the few things have done for this challenge. Of course the main map is ...well .... only ideas ;-)
For now, i've worked on it with paint (very simple when using only black stylus for drawing), sketchup for the top view of the well, stones made with paint. And gimp for the map sketch.
Next steps :
- adding some intern structures on the top view of the well (architectural things coming out from the wall/stairs, like capitals for the columns), and the bottom of the well
- construct the map with sketchup, and then redrawing on it with a 3D perspective
- making an front view of the well

the well is over, all was made with sketchup. Images are modified with paint and gimp.
Next step : making the ground, and then making a cool things with all this stuf. I think of a 3D map of the land, with sketches of the well all around : cross section, view from above, sketch of the well, sketch of the arch. I don't know yet.

Interesting. Can't wait to see how this develops.
nice! i am digging the perspective

the same images than above but black and white
The well on the cliff. I'll try to work on this image, i don't know how (i have to change the cliff)
The ground : it's the main map, the bases of the work. I'll re-draw the land, for having a map and not a 3D perspective. That's the challenge for me : my stylus doesn't work with gimp so drawing will be .... difficult ....
Looks interesting
