Wip May/June '20 Lite Challenge: Temple and Tomb

Knowing full well that I will probably get waylaid by work or some other unnatural disaster, I'm still gonna give this a shot. Decided to use the Jungle Temple as the inspiration for this, hopefully, simple dungeon map. Got the basic layout done with a tiny bit of reference labeling. Not expecting to get super fancy with this, but we will see how things progress and whether or not I will attempt anything special. Got an inkling of a back story for this as well, but need to do a small bit of research for it first.

As I get to the details, I will separate the levels so that they can be seen clearly. Just wanted to get a good feel for where they were in relation to one another.

    Brief update.....

    - Beefed up the interior wall of the ground level portion.
    - Added stairs from ground level to sub-level one.
    - Added railing around stairs on ground level and around the "viewing" area on sub-level one.
    - Added ground level and sub-level one entry doors.
    - Added in a flagstone/tile texture to start giving things a bit of scale.

Trying to stick with a classical look, but might do furniture and such in a blueish color so that it will stand out a bit, but not 100% certain about that.

Working on the back story for this, but have a question...

Would people prefer a back story in the style of an adventure background for the Game Master's eyes, or one told from the point of view of an adventuring group exploring the area? Either way, it is likely to be a bit gruesome.

I would find the GM view more useful, but the adventurers point of view may be more interesting.

I suppose on here, the GM view is the most useful?

Can't go wrong pitching it for GM's. Nice work mate. For me so far, it's between you and RDHenry.

Didn't have much of a chance to work on this through the week. Have been crazy busy and totally exhausted by the time I get home. Still working on background/lore, but it is tough going. The story has some really dark themes, and I want to be careful in expressing them so that I don't A) offend anyone, and B) get myself in trouble for violating language and general decency here at the Guild.

Anyways, a bit of an update. The furniture, if I remember correctly, comes from RedKobold's fantasy decor set.

love a good dungeon maps and looks like you're of to a good start. In regards of the backstory I'm sure the adventurers side would be more exciting to read .. keep up the good work *howls at the moon in greeting*
