hello, so i'm having trouble thinking about how glaciers should form on this map where i have continental shelf close to the southern pole of my earth like planet. i keep looking at greenland, northern russia, and nunavut canada for inspiration and it doesn't make sense to me how greenland has the second largest glacier in the world while nunavut is relatively unburdened by permanent ice (except mountain ranges).

id like yall to look at my map and see what you think, the dark grey are high mountain ranges, the grey green are lower mountains and foothills. maybe you could also explain why glaciers form on earth in ways that dont seem to make any sense to me too.
