Thank you Antoine, I’m glad you like it.

Well, actually, it's not really the colour being too light, but I think the shading could use a bit more power to it. No idea if you are even finished with it anyway, though.

In any case, I already love how this is coming along. I said it before, but it bears repeating - glad to see you back!
Thanks Kellerica! I feel it’s a bit light too, and I haven’t added any shading besides fading it out towards the middle because I don’t want green mountains... I never have managed to get a landmass to go green nicely, which is why I usually stick with sepia tones... I just can’t seem to get it right with colour, though it shouldn’t be too much of a problem for this one since most of it will be covered in trees anyways to keep with the spirit of the reference images.

Thank you Misty! I’m glad to be around again... I feel I’ve missed so much Here at the guild, so many new faces I sort of feel like a stranger around here anymore.

Some major changes, and some minor... added forests, and some details to the land. I also darkened the grey in the border and the tops of the trees, and slightly darkened the backround texture. I’m still not sure how to shade the border trees, I’ve done several experiments with them, and failed... miserably... so feeling a little doubtful about those.

I need to work on the icons next, and labeling just to get it out of the way before I can focus back in on any details or else I won’t be able to finish on time.

    Anyways, here’s my latest update...

Nice update Kacey, the darker trees give a good contrast to the lighter grass.

Thanks Bogie! I added a night sky today, hope it’s not too dark.

    I love this piece.

I like the dark sky, makes it look even more "fantastical"" if you will. Like sitting in space.

Sorry to be that guy, kacey, but ... you really gotta shade those trees ! You're so good at shading, they'd look magnificent !! More seriously, the map is on the path to being a shiny little gem, great job as always !

Thanks Thomas, and no worries I will not leave them like this. I just haven’t found the right solution yet, though I’ve been experimenting allot... I hope I can come up with something in time.

Oh! The contrast! Suddenly the rest of the map pops out. I really like it. And the stars beneath the islands take it to a whole other dimension!
