Default May/June '20 Lite Challenge: The Isles of NoSea

It’s been a while... I haven’t been subscribed to Photoshop for some time now, and I haven’t even drawn anything digitally since the last time I posted here, but I just got a shiny new Ipad and I was inspired by some of the pictures that Bogie posted so I thought this would be a good time to test out some new software... I’ve been using the same brush in Photoshop for years now, and I finally found one in Procreate which I like so I thought I’d give it a go.

I’ll be basing my map on these...

I hope it’s ok that I use two of them, and that I’m not too late to join the challenge...

Here’s what I have so far, let me know what you think.

Mostly just been plugging away at the rocks in the border, and blocking in some larger areas of colour. I’m kicking myself for only using an 8 1/2 by 11 canvas this time, I’m really struggling to get any details in, and it’s too late to change the size now.

I’m not really sure how I should approach the shading on the big trees so I’m a little stuck on that right now... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyways... Here’s what I’ve got so far.
