Default Southern Opall and Eastern Stramera (B&W)

I've been super busy lately, so haven't been around that much. But I have a backlog of finished maps that are ready to show. I'll try to post one every couple of days, so that I don't simply flood the forum all at once

So, these are the lands of Southern Opall and Eastern Stramera. There isn't really any backstory to this map (yet).

This map originated from my 2018 [m]April challenge, and I continued working on it bit by bit the rest of that year (so, technically was completed back in 201. I'd like to do a colour version some time, but I expect that's so far in the future I thought it'd be best to post the linework map for now.

As always, kind words are welcome, unkind words are less welcome, and comments and critiques are always appreciated

That’s awesome Wingshaw!!! I love the mountains and the little bits of cloud up above...

I can’t wait to see what else you’ve been hiding.

Great, reminds me to some other works of yours, yes. I'll be waiting for that colored version!

The perspective there is amazing and wow, that is one large tree on the eastern side! It must scrape into the upper levels of the atmosphere!

Thanks Arimel. Interesting that you see it as a tree; I'd kinda imagined it as some kind of semi-architectural/semi-natural tower rather than a tree

Beautiful line work. I've never considered actually doing a globe map (globular map?), because the perspective seems rather daunting, but you've managed to create it perfectly.
