Thread: June/July '20 Lite Challenge: Map of Mulukhuetziz

Default June/July '20 Lite Challenge: Map of Mulukhuetziz

I’ve been absent for a while due to circumstances and the need to do a propbuild after that to blow off some steam, but this challenge gave me plenty of motivation to unroll my pencilcases again

One of my most favorite areas in Elder Scrolls online is Murkmire with it’s Aztec/Mayan atmosphere and so I’ve been wanting to make an map in that style for a while now.
I think this challenge will be a great opportunity to do so!

I haven’t got much to show yet but here is the wip for the border:

Thanks Bogie, I can’t wait to see what I come up with either

Been working on the border for a few days now while moving things around to keep some ballance going. Got to love the planning when working traditionally hahaha.

Finished inking the border. Will give it some color before continuing with the map itself

Hey, saw this on instagram 😃 I’m really curious what you’ll do with the map! The border looks great with that aztec/snaky feel.

I’m rather curious myself haha, I’ve got some ideas but those usually change along the way

    Thank you JH

I took some extra time to practice calligraphy in order to properly label this map.
Also still coloring the border while the ideas for the map get sketched on another piece of paper
