So there is this huge circular wall around the main isle and all bridges are cut (railways and roads).

The toponymy on this map and, in fact, all the words that appear on, consist in the transcription of two stanzas of a song I wrote (in French) :

"Un jour la lumiere brisee du soleil a la cime des vagues
sera l'encre de mes vers sur l'étendue chorale de la mer

et le vent qui erige la dune sur la vaste rive gasconne
me pretera sa main pour ecrire sur les murs que le sable abandonne"

The style is a loyal imitation of the 1922 type 1/50,000 (metric system) topographical map of France.

    Holy smokes! That is incredible.

I feel like I need to type more than that, but I'm serious. I can't stop looking at it.

I am not sure there are enough contour lines there . That looks amazing and the level of detail! Really great.

A wonderful way to put poetry "on map"! It is both very beautiful in words and very beautiful in drawing: the reproduction of French maps elements is impeccable! And this topography is hallucinating! Very beautiful work and beautiful creation!

I've loved every one of your maps! I don't know why, but every time I see them it somehow reminds me of some of the Ghibli movies. In particular it reminds me of Porco Rosso and Ponyo. Perhaps its the color palette?

This is hand drawn? Wow. Absolutely incredible! I love the design and the intricate linework of it.
